What is the Women Empowerment Series?
Hosted by GradSWE every semester, this series provides an opportunity to hear directly from extraordinary women from UIC's own engineering departments. Speakers share their stories and attendees are able to ask questions and gain insight into what it is like to be a woman in engineering. Register to submit questions for the speaker!
About the Speaker
Dr. Renata A. Revelo is a Clinical Associate Professor in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Revelo’s research group, Critically Conscious Engineering Education, focuses on research that centers asset-based frameworks and the success of minoritized students in engineering.
